Background
With a long career in technology, I have gained in-depth knowledge of data volume systems and how technology works. My career began as an electronics engineer, repairing TV and Video equipment down to the component level. My IT career started in 1989 with Digital Equipment Corporation (Now Hewlett-Packard) where I went through months and months of onboard training to become a field service engineer. This role specialised in service Tape and Disk Storage systems, PC and Servers. Following on from DEC, I became a consultant and designed many infrastructure and data backup projects, until a move to Seagate Software, where I spent many years working for Data Backup and Recovery software and service providers.
